Ranches of the West Inc.

The difference between a development with homes including adjoining green belts and a large ranch with well planned concentrated clusters of residential units is very distinct.  Bluestone Ridge Ranch and The Canyons at Debeque Ranch are unique mixtures of historicl preservation, ranch, agricultural, open space, wild lands and Planned Unit Developments.  The concept is applied concentrated tracts (or building envelopes) of varying residential and commercial product types.  The PUD areas are carefully placed to minimize environmental impacts, preserve skylines, and wildlife corridors.  It is integrated with natural features and hundreds of acres of valuable protected farm and ranch land.

The purpose of the Bluestone Ridge Ranch PUD is to afford the average working family or person(s) a well conceived, thoughtfully planned and protected neighborhood that is reasonably priced.  Bluestone intends to offer quality attributes usually found only in more expensive neighborhoods.  Leading by example the ranch also sets the tone for quality, conscientious development, and respect for resources, history, ranch and agricultural lands.  It is our hope that this will serve as a model for future development within the DeBeque area.  Due to Bluestone’s unique size and geographic location in the valley, the bar of excellence shown could be definitional for the town.

The Bluestone Ridge Ranch has been designed with primary priority being the perpetual preservation of quality ranch, wildlife, resource and agricultural lands and special topographic and historical features.  Providing for continued and enhanced irrigation, protection of natural, non-irrigated environments, the creation of large water impoundments for livestock, wildlife, waterfowl and fisheries is intended to protect the wildlife/bird populations in the area, and serve as feeders for irrigation conversions from flood to mechanized water delivery.

Immediately northwest of Pond #3, an existing but tattered historical ranch house and granary dating back to the 1880’s is in the process of being preserved and the exterior restored.  An approximate 15 acre tract of land including the restored ranch house and the adjacent pond #3 will be dedicated to the Town of DeBeque and will be available to the residents of Bluestone Ridge Ranch PUD as parkland.  Other park land will also be dedicated to the town.  Renovation of this historical ranch house integrated with the preserved ranch environs will maintain and enhance the historical flavor of the site.

In conclusions it’s a blend of the old, the new, and home on the ranch, with the emphasis on the word Ranch.

Thanks Tom! Why do I have this feeling that my web master has a smug "I told you so" grin right now? ((smile). Keep tuning in, lots more to come. Your comments are very much appreciated.

I agree with James. This site is much easier to read than your other ranches site. There was never anything new to read. I found this by google search while doing rnch searches. I have been on the old site but was pretty boring. Not enough to make me interested in buying. Good job to whoever is behind this design. It is nice to see that you are listing your projects and taking the time to keep those interested updated on current activities with each project. As a realtor it makes it easier to speak about and promote with our own customers. I am looking forward to more.

Thanks James.  The kudos, however belong to my web master.  This is really the rework of our old ranches of the west site, and it sorely needed updating.  Lots more to come, so stay tuned!

I like this new site...
